Application:

DL Malic acid (DL-Hydroxysuccinic Acid, E296) is used for processing and formulating beverages, vermouth, fruit juices. It is also used in the manufacturing of candies and jams, with antimicrobial and preservative properties. It can be used for pH adjustment in yogurt fermentation and in winemaking to remove tartrates.
